State Arboretum of Virginia Engagement Session | Tricia and Leann
Tricia and Leann wanted a new location for their engagement session, and with the Ginko Trees in full bloom during the fall season, I had the perfect place in mind! The vibrant golden hues of the Ginko leaves provided a stunning backdrop for capturing their love. Despite the looming threat of rain throughout the afternoon, which made me a little nervous, the weather held off for our entire session, allowing us to fully enjoy the beauty of the State Arboretum of Virginia.
I can’t wait to celebrate with them and their loved ones in a few months!
Located in Boyce, Virginia, the State Arboretum is a 172-acre natural sanctuary that showcases a diverse collection of trees, plants, and flowers from around the world. One of its highlights is the magnificent Ginko Trees, which transform into a mesmerizing display of golden foliage during the fall season, creating a breathtaking and romantic atmosphere. Tricia and Leann’s engagement session among the Ginko Trees was truly magical, with the radiant colors and delicate leaves perfectly complementing their love story.
As a living museum of flora, this enchanting destination offers visitors a tranquil escape. They can explore well-maintained pathways, admire magnificent boxwood cultivars, and capture unforgettable moments in picturesque landscapes. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, horticulturalist, or a couple seeking a captivating backdrop for an engagement session, the State Arboretum of Virginia, with its stunning Ginko Trees and natural beauty, is a true testament to the serenity and allure of nature.
Even without the sunset we still get creatively lit photos 🙂
One of my favorite ‘winding down’ parts of a session is giving my couples 10 seconds to just ‘shake it off’. It helps everyone relax after a successful shot and to be yourself at the end 🙂 These two NAILED IT
