If you’re looking to get married in the Richmond, VA, you’ve got plenty of wonderful options! With its rich history, charming architecture, and stunning natural beauty, the region has no shortage of beautiful wedding venues to choose from.

To help make your search easier, I’ve put together a list of the 20+ most popular wedding venues in Richmond, Virginia. Whether you’re envisioning an intimate ceremony or a grand celebration, I’ve got you covered with plenty of options!

All suggestion are within 50 miles of Downtown Richmond, VA and are rounded estimates.

  • The Brickhouse RVA (1 mile)
    • This beautiful space is located in the Arts District of Downtown Richmond, VA, built in the 1920s and renovated in 2010. The venue features 2,016 sq. ft of exposed brick and hardwood floors with industrial-style iron elements, and can accommodate up to 50 guests seated or 75 cocktail style. Packages start at $649 and include tables, chairs, linens, and access to vendor prep areas. The venue also offers floral design and decor elements for an additional cost and has fully accessible bathrooms and a beautiful lounge area.
  • Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden (8 miles)
    • Multiple Venue sites across this large botanical garden with elegant and scenic outdoor venues for Ceremony / Reception (or just reception) from April – October and Indoor venues for Winter events.  (Micro weddings up to 25 guests). This is a fantastic setting with many venues that cater to weddings of all sizes.

  • Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden (8 miles)
    • Multiple Venue sites across this large botanical garden with elegant and scenic outdoor venues for Ceremony / Reception (or just reception) from April – October and Indoor venues for Winter events.  (Micro weddings up to 25 guests). This is a fantastic setting with many venues that cater to weddings of all sizes.
  • Maymont
    • Maymont features 100+ acres of historic and elegant architecture and gardens,  and offers multiple indoor and outdoor venue locations for both ceremony and reception. The Historic Estate offerings include Italian Garden, Blue Atlas Cedar, and Maple Row with reception in  (~ 150 – 250 guests varies by location). Maymont’s extensive grounds also include smaller venue offerings at 1000 Westover, Picnic Hill, and Reinhart courtyard: “Enjoy Mediterranean architecture, a mix of modern and historical features, and a private outdoor courtyard” (~ 80 – 100 guests varies by location). Maymont also offers micro wedding reservations up to 30 days in advance for an incredibly beautiful collection of offerings that accommodate any wedding.

    • Looking for a Venue that’s also a bed and breakfast? Then I highly recommend checking out the Virginia Cliffe Inn! Wedding packages starting at $3,600 and Elopement packages (up to 2 guests) start at $1250.

    • If you’re looking for a Luxury Tudor inspired estate, this is the place for you. Dover Hall can accommodate up to 400 guests and prices typically start at $18,000 for prime Saturdays. The entire estate is available for full weekend rentals.

  • The Boathouse at Sunday Park (20 miles)
    • Located besides a 1700 acre lake, it provides a beautiful waterfront backdrop. The Garden Pavilion is a fully enclosed heated and air-condition building that can seat up to 120 guests. Prices begin around $14,000 for a Saturday which includes a three course meal and full open bar.

  • Belle’s Pleasure (52 miles)
    • A rustic farmstead wedding venue located in Fredericksburg, VA, with a century-old barn, 15 acres of pastures, ancient trees, and classic white fencing. The original farmhouse and a milk-white dairy barn add to the venue’s historic charm. The family-owned venue allows couples to bring their own vendors and offers lovingly decorated dressing rooms for them to prepare comfortably for their big day.
  • Stevenson Ridge (55 miles)
    • A peaceful location located roughly one hour outside of Richmond and DC. It offers lodging, restaurants, and tourism so while you stay on site you’ll have lots to do!
  • The Barn at Timber Creek (62 miles)
    • The Barn at Timber Creek is a rustic wedding venue in Farmville, VA, with indoor and outdoor ceremony options for up to 150 seated guests. The property includes a lakeside ceremony site, a 4,000 sq. ft. barn, and a covered outdoor patio. The venue offers a private bridal suite, setup of tables/chairs/barn props, and welcomes outside vendors.
