Asheville NC is a gorgeous city to have an Engagement Session. When Mitchell reached out to me and told me that he wanted to plan a surprise proposal for his (then) girlfriend, Whitney, while they were in town I immediately started planning scenarios.

For those of you who know Asheville well, you know that the Biltmore Estate is a gorgeous location to visit and especially for an engagement session. Because they had a day pass for the location, the plan was to have a ‘Couples Session’ at the gardens.

On the day of, I was so excited and nervous. Despite this being my second proposal I was still so nervous, as anything can go wrong. I had the location planned as well as where to park and even key phrases to say but some how I’d missed that the Estate Gardens closes at 5pm (we arrived at 5:15). I had to quickly scramble to come up with an idea and am so thankful that these two were up for an adventure.

I’m thankful that the weather was cool(er), that the golden hour was beautiful, and that I got to document their surprise Asheville NC Engagement.

I appreciate these two so much and wish them the best in the rest of their lives together!
